Cord & Pellet ("we", "our", "us") is an independent reference site about firewood and wood pellet heating, published byJavier Cristóbal Gutiérrez, a self-employed publisher based in Spain. We are the party responsible for personal data collected through cordandpellet.com.

What we collect
This is a reading site. There is no account to create, no newsletter to join and no purchase to make, so most visitors give us nothing at all.
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, and how you arrived. Collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Consent preference: your cookie choice, stored locally in your browser rather than on our servers.
- Anything you email us: if you contact us directly, we hold that message and your address in order to reply.
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into them are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.

- To keep the site working and secure.
- To answer messages you send us.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who else is involved
- Cloudflare: hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare Pages).
- Google: analytics, only with your consent.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on mechanisms recognised under the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with the matter, and after that only where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of them, email [email protected]. If you are in the EU you may also complain to your national data protection authority, in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Children
This site is aimed at adults buying heating fuel. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
