Cord & Pellet is an independent reference for firewood measurements, wood pellet prices and local suppliers in the United States. It is editorial, not a store. We do not sell firewood, pellets or stoves, and we do not broker sales.
How to read our prices
Every price on this site is an observation: a figure published by a named supplier, recorded on a stated date, with a link to where we saw it. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a promise that the price is still available to you.
- Fuel prices move with season, demand and delivery distance.
- Suppliers change prices without telling us.
- A price seen online may not include delivery, stacking or tax.
Always confirm the current price with the supplier before buying. Our pellet price index covers the Northeast and Great Lakes, so it is regional, not a national average.
Calculators and estimates
The calculators are planning tools working from the figures you enter and from published averages. Real consumption depends on your home, your climate, your appliance and the moisture content of your fuel. Treat the output as an estimate, not a bill.
Safety
